Studio Hours:

Morning Studio Business hours Monday-Thursday: vary, please call first
Afternoon Studio Business & Teaching hours 3-8pm

Holiday Closings & Cancellations:

The studio will generally follow the holiday schedule observed by the traditional New Hanover County School System (not year-round schedule). There are some school holidays & teacher workdays that are NOT holidays at T.I.M. If a class is canceled due to unexpected &/or unannounced circumstances such as an illness, family emergencies etc., we will provide a make-up class. The studio does not provide make-up classes for inclement weather, power failures or any other natural act that is of no fault of our own.

Any & all studio closings will be announced in the monthly newsletters, on studio website and/ or on the studio answering machine. (910) 799-3223 prior to the closing date. There are no tuition adjustments, deductions for vacations or short months or missed lessons as our schedule is planned so that each class receives the same number of classes per dance season. Please keep in mind that some months have 3 lessons & some months have 5. We do not charge extra tuition for that 5th week.

August-May Dance Season Begins: Monday August 3rd

Closed for Labor Day: Monday September 7th

Share your Love of Dance! Bring a Friend to Dance Week: September 14-17th (Friends must be in the same age range as the class and 1 person per dancer. Technique or Ballet Company Classes only.)

1st Recital Costume Deposit Due: October 8th

Halloween Dress up Week: October 26th – 29th

Thanksgiving Food Drive for Carousel Center Begins: November 2nd (Winner will receive tickets to a local holiday production)

Costume Measurement Week: November 2nd-5th

Annual Block Party Celebration: Saturday November 7th

2nd Recital Costume Payment Due: November 12th

Thanksgiving Food Drive Ends: 19th (Winner will receive tickets to a local holiday production)

Closed for Thanksgiving: November 23-26th

Final Recital Costume Payment Due: December 3rd (2nd, 3rd or more costumes)

Holiday Spirit Week: December 14-17th: Red & White to be Merry & Bright day, Holiday sock day, Holiday Headband or Hat day, & Holiday PJ day

Closed for Christmas & New Years: December 21st – January 3rd

Classes Resume: January 4th

Parent Appreciation Week: Cookies & Coffee January 11-14th

Share your Love of Dance! Dance With Your Dancer Week: February 8-11th: If Dance With Your Dancer Week is canceled due to the large class sizes, we will have Valentine’s Spirit Week instead.

Final Date for Enrollment & Costume Orders: February 18th

March Madness in Motion Week: March 15-18th: Mismatch Monday, TuTu & Tiara Tuesday, Wacky Hair Wednesday, Studio Color Thursday 

Closed for Spring Break: March 29-April 1st

Azalea Festival Parade: Saturday April 10th

Recital Q & A: Friday May 1st, 6pm @ the dance school

Recital Program Ads Due: Thursday May 13th

Recital Group & Individual Photos: May 14-15th

Final Day of Classes: Thursday May 20th

Studio Closed: May 21-June 6th

Mandatory Recital Stage Rehearsal: Wednesday May 26th for dancers in Show #1 (4pm-6pm) & Show #2 (6pm-8pm)

Mandatory Recital Stage Rehearsal: Thursday May 27th for dancers in Show #3 (4:30pm-6:30pm)

Spring Recital: May 28th (Show #1), & 29th (Show #2 & Show #3)
